Fur Hats for Women and Men

Real fur hats for women and men, handmade in Ukraine — mink, fox, polar fox, rabbit and sheepskin. Ushankas, aviator and trapper hats, fur berets and hoods, sized 55–62 cm. Every hat on this page is made in our own workshop.

Fur Hats Made for Real Winter

A fur hat has one job: keep you warm when it's properly cold. Everything else — the look, the shape, the color — comes after that.

This collection brings together every fur hat we make. Different furs, different styles, different levels of coverage. Some are built for a city winter around -10°C. Others are cut for long hours outside at -25°C and below. All of them are cut, sewn and finished by hand, and all of them are meant to last many winters, not one.

Not sure where to start? Pick the fur first, then the style. The guide below covers both.

Choosing the Fur

Mink — light, dense and soft. The best warmth for its weight, comfortable from about -15°C to -25°C, and it doesn't mat with regular wear. With basic care a mink hat lasts 15–20 years. It's the everyday choice for city winters.

Fox — longer guard hair, deeper underfur, more volume. Fox stops wind well and has a striking, full look. Every pelt has its own color variation, so no two fox hats are exactly alike.

Polar fox — the same thick, warm structure as fox, in light natural shades. Distinctive and less common.

Rabbit — the softest and lightest of all. Pleasant against the skin and the most affordable real fur, but more delicate: it needs gentler handling and won't last as long as mink.

Sheepskin — heavier, rugged and forgiving. Bomber and trapper styles in sheepskin cover the head, ears and neck, which makes them the right pick for sustained outdoor cold below -25°C. Almost no special care needed.

Choosing the Style

Ushanka — the classic winter fur hat with ear flaps that tie up or down. Maximum warmth for ears and neck. See the full range of ushanka hats.

Aviator and trapper hats — closer fit, long flaps, often with a sheepskin or leather outer. Built for wind and long hours outside.

Fur baseball caps — a visor and a compact mink crown. Warm, but it still looks like a regular cap.

Fur berets — soft, round, no brim. A lighter option for women who want fur without full coverage. Browse fur berets.

Fur hoods and headscarves — mink and fox hoods that frame the face and cover the neck. See fur hoods and mink headscarves.

Fur Hats for Women

Women's styles run from soft mink berets to full fox hoods. If you want something light for the city, mink or rabbit works well. If you're outside a lot or want a statement piece, fox or polar fox gives more volume and more warmth. All women's styles in one place: women's fur hats.

Fur Hats for Men

Men's fur hats are function-first: full ear coverage, structured crowns, flaps that actually close. Mink ushankas and mink caps for everyday winter, sheepskin aviators and trappers for serious cold. See all men's fur hats.

Size and Fit

Wrap a soft tape around your head about one finger-width above the ears and eyebrows, snug but not tight. That number in centimeters is your size. Most of our fur hats come in 55–62 cm; exact sizes are listed on each product page. Between two sizes? Take the larger one — fur hats fit closer than they look. Still unsure? Send us your measurement and the hat you like, and we'll confirm the fit before you order.

Care

Brush gently with a soft fur brush, always in the direction of the fur. If the hat gets wet, let it dry at room temperature — never on a radiator. Store it in a breathable fabric bag in a cool, dry place, never in plastic. For deep cleaning, take it to a professional furrier once every few seasons. Fox and rabbit need a little more attention than mink; sheepskin needs the least.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fur Hats

Q: Which fur hat is warmest?

A: For long hours outside below -25°C, a sheepskin bomber or trapper hat — it covers the head, ears and neck. For everyday winter between -15°C and -25°C, a mink or fox ushanka is warm enough and much lighter.

Q: How long does a fur hat last?

A: A mink hat that's brushed and stored properly lasts 15–20 years. Fox and sheepskin also last many winters with basic care. Rabbit is the most delicate fur and wears out sooner.

Q: Mink or fox — which should I choose?

A: Mink if you want a light, low-maintenance hat for everyday city winters. Fox if you want more volume, a bolder look and extra wind protection.

Q: Are your fur hats made from real fur?

A: Yes, real fur only — mink, fox, polar fox, rabbit and sheepskin from certified farm-raised suppliers. We inspect every pelt before cutting. The exact fur is listed on each product page.

Q: How do I find my fur hat size?

A: Measure your head about one finger-width above the ears and eyebrows. Most of our fur hats come in 55–62 cm. If you're between sizes, choose the larger one, or message us your measurement and we'll confirm the fit.

Q: Can I wear a fur hat in rain or snow?

A: Snow is fine — shake it off. In rain, real fur can get wet; let it dry naturally at room temperature, away from radiators and hair dryers, then brush it gently.

Q: Do you ship fur hats to the USA?

A: Yes, worldwide with tracking. Delivery to the US typically takes 7–14 days from our workshop in Ukraine, and for US orders we cover customs duties — the price at checkout is final.
