Fur Berets for Women

Women's fur berets handmade in Ukraine from real mink, fox, rabbit and chinchilla — classic dome, high crown, gathered and voluminous styles, some with a fur bow or appliqué flower. In black, white, brown, pastel brown, pearl beige, sapphire and graphite blue, sized 54–60 cm.

A Beret That Is Actually Warm

A wool beret looks great until the temperature drops below zero. A fur beret keeps the same easy, slightly tilted silhouette, but it's made from real fur — so it holds heat properly and blocks the wind.

It's the piece for women who want fur without the volume of a full fur hat. Lighter on the head, more polished with a coat, and easy to wear every day from November to March.

Every beret is cut and shaped by hand in our workshop, so the crown keeps its form season after season instead of collapsing like a knitted beret.

Shapes and Details

Classic dome — a smooth, rounded crown that sits evenly on the head. The most versatile shape: works with any face and any coat.

High crown — a taller top that adds height to the silhouette. Good for round or soft faces, and it doesn't flatten hair as much.

Gathered tucks — soft folds stitched into the crown. More texture and movement, a slightly more fashion-forward look.

Voluminous — a fuller, wider crown. The most noticeable shape, best with a simple, structured coat.

With a fur bow or appliqué flower — the same berets with a hand-sewn detail on the side. A softer, more decorative look for evenings, holidays or a gift.

Choosing the Fur for Your Beret

A beret is all about shape, so the fur changes the look more than on any other hat.

Mink beret — short, dense, softly glossy fur that lies flat and keeps the clean outline of the beret. Light on the head and the most versatile choice. Most of our fur berets are mink.

Fox fur beret — longer, fuller fur and a fluffy, voluminous silhouette. The warmest and the most eye-catching; the beret shape becomes softer and rounder.

Rabbit fur beret — velvety, short and very light. The most affordable real fur beret and a good first fur piece. A little more delicate than mink.

Chinchilla beret — the softest and lightest fur we work with, with a distinctive grey-blue shimmer. Less insulating than mink or fox, but nothing else feels quite like it.

Colors and What to Wear Them With

Black and brown — go with everything, from a black wool coat to a camel trench.

White and pearl beige — light, festive shades. Best with cream, camel, white or grey coats; a white mink beret also looks striking with all-black outfits.

Pastel brown — a warm, soft neutral. Works with beige, chocolate and olive.

Sapphire and graphite blue — cool grey-blue tones that look natural with grey, navy and black, and stand out against a light coat.

How to Wear a Fur Beret

Tilted to one side — the classic way. Set the beret at the back of the head and tilt it slightly toward one ear. Works best with the classic dome.

Straight and slightly back — shows the forehead and the full shape of the crown. Best with high crown and voluminous styles.

Low over the forehead — the warmest way to wear it, covering more of the head on cold days.

With hair down, a beret frames the face. With a low bun, wear it a little further forward. With a scarf or a fur collar, keep the beret simple — a classic dome in black or brown.

Fur Beret, Wool Beret or Fur Hat?

A wool beret is for autumn and mild winter days — see our wool, cashmere and leather berets. A fur beret takes you through real winter in the same silhouette. A full fur hat or ushanka covers the ears for serious cold and wind — browse women's fur hats or all fur hats.

Fur Berets — Questions

Is a fur beret warm enough for winter?

Yes, for a city winter. A mink or fox beret keeps the top and back of the head warm down to about -15°C. It doesn't cover the ears, so for long walks in wind or colder weather, pair it with a fur collar or choose a fur hat with ear coverage.

Which fur beret is warmest — mink, fox, rabbit or chinchilla?

Fox is the warmest and most voluminous. Mink is close behind with a sleeker, lighter feel. Rabbit is warm but more delicate. Chinchilla is the softest and lightest, but the least insulating of the four.

Will a fur beret stay on in the wind?

Yes, if the size is right. The beret should sit snug around the head without pressing. Our berets keep their shaped crown, so they don't catch the wind like a soft knitted beret. If you're between sizes, ask us before ordering.

Which fur beret shape suits my face?

Round or soft face — a high crown adds height and balances the face. Long or narrow face — a classic dome or voluminous beret worn lower adds width. Small features — a sleek mink classic dome in a dark color keeps the look light.

Does a white mink beret get dirty easily?

Light fur shows dust and makeup more than dark fur, but it cleans well. Put the beret on after makeup, brush it gently after wearing, and store it in a breathable bag away from light. For deeper cleaning, take it to a professional furrier.

Does a fur beret keep its shape?

Yes. The crown is shaped by hand, so it holds its form for years. Don't fold it or store it under heavy things — keep it on a hat form or stuffed with tissue paper.

What size fur beret should I order?

Measure around your head just above the eyebrows and ears. Our fur berets come in 54–60 cm. If you're between sizes, take the larger one. Send us your measurement and we'll confirm the fit.

Fur beret or wool beret — which should I buy?

If you need one beret for real winter, choose fur: it's warmer and blocks wind. If you live where winters are mild or want a beret for autumn and spring, wool or cashmere is lighter and easier to pack.
