Women's Fur Hats

Women's fur hats handmade in Ukraine — mink, silver fox, polar fox, rex rabbit and sheepskin. Soft round mink hats, full fox hats with volume and warm everyday styles for real winter, sized 55–60 cm.

Fur Hats Made for Women Who Actually Go Outside

Fur hats for women have outlived every trend because they do one thing very well: keep you warm without making you look like you gave up on style. A good one goes with a wool coat, a down jacket and a dressy evening look.

Every women's hat in this collection is cut and sewn by hand in our workshop. We've been making them since 2010, and most of the styles here come from what our customers asked for — winter after winter.

Choose Your Style

Round mink hats — close-fitting, smooth and light. The everyday classic: easy with any coat, doesn't overwhelm the face, keeps its shape for years.

Fox hats with volume — silver fox or polar fox, long fur, a big soft silhouette. The statement piece of the collection, and also the warmest in wind.

Women's ushankas — ear flaps you can tie up for the city or down for serious cold. A practical choice if you're outside a lot. More in our ushanka hats collection.

Fur hoods and headscarves — if you want fur around the face and neck, not just on top. See mink headscarves and fur hoods.

Prefer a beret? Our soft mink and fox berets have their own collection: fur berets for women.

The Furs We Use for Women's Hats

Mink — the most versatile. Light, dense, soft from the first wear, and it doesn't flatten under a hood. Works in a city winter and on a -20°C morning.

Silver fox — dark base with silvery tips. The most noticeable fur we work with; it reads as elegant from across the street.

Polar fox — light natural shades and very full fur. Warmer and more voluminous than mink, the choice for cold, windy places.

Rex rabbit — velvety, short and the lightest of all. Gentle on sensitive skin and the most affordable real fur, but more delicate than mink.

Sheepskin — rugged and very warm. Less refined in look, but nothing handles wet snow and daily use better.

How to Match a Fur Hat to Your Face and Coat

Round or soft face — a hat with some height on top (fox, or a mink hat with a raised crown) balances the face. Avoid very flat, tight shapes.

Long or narrow face — wider, voluminous styles that sit lower over the forehead: full fox hats, ushankas with flaps down.

Small features — mink or rex rabbit. Big fox volume can overwhelm a small face.

Color with your coat. Black and dark brown mink go with anything. Silver fox works best with black, grey and navy. Light polar fox and beige shades look best with camel, cream and white coats. With a bright coat, pick a neutral hat.

Coat or down jacket? With a structured wool coat, a round mink hat or silver fox looks most finished. With a puffer or parka, fuller fox styles or an ushanka match the volume of the jacket.

Size and Fit

Measure around your head just above the ears and eyebrows. Our women's fur hats come in 55–60 cm; exact sizes are on each product page. Between sizes? Choose the larger one. A fur hat should sit snug without pressing on the forehead. Full guide: hat size guide.

Care and storage are the same for all our fur hats — see the hat care guide. Looking for a gift for him? Browse men's fur hats, or see all fur hats in one place.

Women's Fur Hats — Questions

Which women's fur hat is the warmest?

Polar fox and silver fox — the fur is longer and fuller, so it holds more warm air and blocks wind better. For cold and wind together, a women's ushanka with the flaps down or a fur hood covers the ears and neck too.

Silver fox or polar fox — what's the difference?

Both are full, warm fox furs. Silver fox has a dark base with silvery tips and a more dramatic look. Polar fox comes in light natural shades and looks softer and brighter. Choose by the color of your coat.

Will a fur hat flatten my hair?

Less than a knitted hat. Mink and rex rabbit are light and don't press down much. Put the hat on over dry hair, and if you're worried about volume, a fuller fox hat or a beret sits higher on the head.

Can I wear a fur hat with long hair or a bun?

Yes. Long hair worn down works with every style. With a low bun, choose a hat that sits slightly higher at the back, like a fox hat. A high bun is easier with a fur hood or a beret.

Fur hat or fur hood — which should I choose?

A fur hat warms the head and, with flaps, the ears. A fur hood or headscarf also wraps the neck and frames the face, so you can skip a scarf. For a city coat, a hat; for long walks in wind, a hood.

What size are women's fur hats?

Our women's fur hats come in 55–60 cm. Measure just above your ears and eyebrows; if you're between sizes, choose the larger one. Send us your measurement before ordering and we'll confirm the fit.

Is a fur hat a good gift?

Yes, if you know her head size or can measure an old hat she wears. Mink in black or dark brown is the safest choice — it goes with any coat. If you're unsure of the size, write to us before ordering.
